Joining the Orchestra

The Oxford Studio Orchestra welcomes interest from new players. We currently have vacancies for violas, cellos, double bass, trumpets and trombones. We are also interested in hearing from players of other instruments, as vacancies sometimes arise unexpectedly.

Concert programmes in our current plan include works by Brahms, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Mayer, Mahler, Beethoven, Nielsen and Schumann.

Rehearsals normally take place on Monday evenings in the school term.

No formal auditions.
